Texas is one of the leading states in the nation for energy production. Thankfully, the tradesmen and tradeswomen who are members of Local 146 are trained to work in these specific markets or have training available to them.

Energy Sector

The economy of many southwest states, including Texas, relies on the energy sector to not only create jobs, but to provide power for most facets of daily life. UA Local 146 affiliated contractors are experts at securing permits, setting labor terms and funding the training to help our tradesmen and tradeswomen work safely, expertly and efficiently.

Fabrication

The UA is already hard at work training members for jobs in this industry to ensure they are the best-prepared workforce to construct green energy systems. Similarly, as communities throughout Texas are working to conserve water and water systems, our tradesmen and tradeswomen have been trained on rainwater harvesting systems to preserve the region’s supply of fresh water.
